Wellbeing sessions are one to one private sessions lasting one hour. No previous horse experience is necessary as the horses are not ridden.
They are horse focused interactions whereby the facilitator interprets the horse’s behaviour and feelings, which are often reflective of the participant’s. This allows a person to connect with their inner self, discover their hidden fears and differentiate how they really feel compared with how they act outwardly on a daily basis. For example, participants who have anxiety may try and connect to a horse who will then show anxious behaviours. Helping the horse overcome their issues can help the participant process their own. All of the interactions with the horses will work towards building confidence, self esteem and emotional regulation.
