Jigsaw

Mischievous pony, 15 year old, 13.2hh Cob skewbald mare.

Jigsaw is our resident pony who is known affectionately as Jigs or Jiggles.

Having nearly died of tetanus, one of the rare recovery cases from its latter stages, she is a true survivor at heart. Jigs has been on life loan since 2014 when she was outgrown by her former owner. Her challenging ‘pony’ behaviour and medical needs became overwhelming. A ligament operation impacted her feelings towards people which made her defensive in order to hide her fears and resulted in an underlying confidence issue so she frequently ran off!

Jigsaw's confidence has improved significantly by directing all of that behaviour into groundwork, trick training and agility competitions. Combining positive leadership with all of these activities has resulted in Jigsaw feeling less defensive, safe and supported.

Jigsaw's character is a real puzzle and everyone who works with her enjoys trying to fit all her pieces together to get her full picture. She is excellent at helping people through their self discovery journey. She loves hay, changing her hairstyle and rolling in the dust.
